Lakefield Bodies of Water
This smaller lake with the long name (Katchewanooka is interpreted as 'water of many rapids') is the first in line of the Kawartha Lakes. It is 8 km (5 mi) and .8 km (.5 mi) wide, and has many shallow areas that should be carefully maneuvered by boaters. Several fish species inhabit the lake, including walleye, yellow perch and large mouth bass.
